New guy who is clueless
Hi. My title says it all. New RV owner. Totally clueless about the upkeep, maintenance and repair aspect.
I'm good with a wrench on a car and most household fixings but never did I plan on trying to figure out how to work on the offspring when you marry the two.
So that's it. I'm here to hopefully solicit advice for the feed and caring of my camper.
Thanks in advance for your patience to my many, many questions.

Hi Scott, you've come to the right place for advice AND opinions. First thing you should do to help facilitate good answers to your questions is to go in and edit your signature with the Make/Model/Year of your rig and toad etc which will tell us folks what we need to know to help you out.

Wash, wax, and inspection is your biggies. You need to inspect all the seams and openings for bad sealing. Water leaks are the number one killer of an RV, so you need to bensure you have none if you want to preserve your investment.

Hi Scot,
Welcome to the Forum! What Dennis said about filing in the info on your rig helps people who are trying to help you.
One of the things you can do is to read threads here on any subject. I have been doing so for 5 years and I cannot tell you how much it has helped me. YouTube anything RV and they have it all. It's another good way to learn.
At CG's (campgrounds) you can ask most any camper there to help. Go say to them: "Hi, I am new at this and I have no idea how to ????????". Normally people will help. If you get a grumpy just move to the next camper and try again. Campers are usually a nice group with very few exceptions.
Just ask. We all had to learn and it is a process that we all need help with. For your first thread to look up in the "search engine" at the top right of the page, enter the following. "RV Fixes for Newbies and Oldies" Just some info that may help you.
Enjoy and visit often for answers to your questions. There are no dumb questions.

Welcome Scot... ditto on the sealing from leaks. YouTube is a great how to source. While relaxing in your new rig be sure and read the manuals on each appliance so you can formulate the periodic maintenance required on each one of them.
