New here and soon to be new to RV'ing

I am always a big fan of utilizing forums when starting a new adventure in life. I always trust "real" people that are doing "it" rather than salesmen who are just trying to sell "it". So here I am to pick some brains and figure out this new adventure in my life.

A little about me and why I am here. My wife and I are looking to buy our first RV soon. We have 1 dog (45 lbs of crazy) and no kids. Primarily we will be roaming during the Fall, Winter, and Spring months due to our work schedules. We live in Wilmington, De and prefer warm weather so we will likely be heading south. The good news is our work schedules also allow us 3 day weekends during these months so hopefully we will be using it often.

I probably wont have a lot to contribute since I very new to this but I am certain I will have lots of questions for everyone. So lets start with my first question.....What area is the best area to post to get suggestions on what we should buy?

I look forward to getting to know as many people on here as possible and hopefully we will share some laughs (please feel free to laugh at me. I do it all the time).

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the life style. Good to see another RVer from Delaware. We are just south of Dover, in Felton. When DH retires in 2 years, we plan on heading south ourselves.

Chridgoforth welcome aboard. I joined this group last Spring. Bought our first ever RV of any kind in April 2015. This is a great group of RV'rs ready to help us newbies. I have learned a great deal being in this group and have actually made a contribution or two. There's more to learn and share as the journey continues.

A good way to start. We kicked off with an older 26' Class C to "see how we liked RVing." we found we enjoyed the lifestyle very much, but soon grew to hate that old piece of junk. Six mpg at sea level and 4.5 at altitude and a very impractical interior layout.

We sold it before gas prices got too high, waited a couple of years and got an 8-year-old 32' Class A. We got four good years out of it, but had to give it up because of cost.
