New job working on RVs
Hello RV forums. Flatmaster here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
I recently accepted a new job working on RV power systems and generators. We service RVs, and powered commercial vehicles like mobile dog groomers and food trucks. So far, I am really enjoying it.
Most of my experience is from the home standby generator industry. So far, the only real difference has been diesel/gasoline fuel.
The better part of my RV experience actually comes from my summer trips to Montana to dig for dinosaurs. At most of the dig sites, they have old RVs that are just left there and its usually been up to me to fix anything that breaks.
While I currently do not own an RV and dont plan to in the near future, I am fascinated by how all of the different systems work together to make a home on wheels.
This summer, we might be going to multiple locations in Montana, so maybe Ill look into renting one up there.
I am looking forward to contributing to the mechanical forums.
