Hi folks,my name is Frank, living in Germany.I got this "US-virus" since I was 18.Driving only us-cars and bikes. We stayed in USA for holidays very often and making RV tours over there. We love your country and the people living there.
Now I'm almost 52 and want to buy an RV in the states to ship it over to Germany. Our plan is to spend the wintermonths in the south of Europe-Spain and Portugal and coming back to Germany at springtime.First I want to buy the biggest thing on earth now I know that I only can import Rvs with a max. length of 12 meters.Over 12 meters I will not get an import permission.
We are looking for a Monaco,Holiday Rambler or an American Eagle by Fleetwood.
Do somebody know a serious and honest dealer with expierience shipping to Europe or have somebody advices for doing this?It will be great!
Our plan is to buy an RV in the East, travelling some weeks over there and than going to Florida or South Carolina to ship it over to Europe by RoRo.
Maybe somebody is out there with some advices?!
Thank you all so much.Sorry for eventually mistakes,my English is not so good.God bless you.
Kind regards from Germany........Frank

First welcome and your English is very good. It might be tough finding anyone with experience exporting RV's to Europe. But who knows who is lurking out there on this forum. Good luck.

Hi Frank, welcome to the forum. Your English is better than my German. I'm pretty much limited to "ein bier". Fell in love with Germany when I was stationed in Aschaffenburg in the 60's. Beautiful county, wonderful people. I can't answer your questions, but when you get into Florida give me a buzz (pm for phone number) and we'll raise a glass or two.
