We are brand new RVr's, we have just purchased a travel trailer and our first trip will be a trip from here in Central Texas to New England during the month of October. We are a little worried about finding campgrounds that are open. Seems that most we have found close around October 15th and we will be traveling through the end of the month. Any comments or suggestions?

When we travel we use our GPS as a guide, when we get fairly close to stopping for the night we use the GPS to show Camp Grounds, it will display the phone # as well, we then use our Cell phone to call for availebility of a spot, if one is not open, we go to the next one. when we find one we let them know we are on our way and then we use the GPS to get us there quickly.
