Just wanted to sat hi to the IRV2 community. New member from Southern California in the process of searching for my first travel trailer. Former motorhome owner (ten years ago) and now ready to get back into the RV life style with a trailer. Looked at a lot of units, new and used, and have settled on the Jayco brand. Also really like the Lance units but seems a little pricey for my needs. Leaning toward a new Jayco 24FBS or 25RKS and the final decision will most likely come down to the best deal. My vehicle is a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 w/Hemi, six speed auto, with 3.55 gears and tow package, so either Jayco unit are well within the trucks weight limits.

At this point the 24FBS is $20,936 and the 25RKS is $21,995, both 2013 models. I'm a little paranoid about length because I've never pulled a travel trailer before and lack confidence. Looking forward to gaining some experience.

Thanks for all the great information shared on this site, it really helps us first timers.

I copied your question and moved it to the Jayco Forum at the link below where you would get more coverage of it from those who know. Not all members utilize the Welcome Forum.
