Welcome to the forum...and on your very recent retirement. My wife and I will both retire in 20 days...so I fully understand your excitement.
One thing this forum is full of are experiences, opinions, and facts (although it is sometimes hard to distinguish between the them 🙀
from well intentioned members. Here are things that we considered:
How will you use the coach (I will say coach ... But you may ultimately select a 5'er, or travel trailer),
Will size matter in where you plan visit,
Will you be towing a car,
Does the floor plan meet your needs and wants (VERY IMPORTANT THAT DW IS SATISFIED HERE),
New or pre-owned,
Engine type (gasser or diesel)
The last two items are real hot buttons on this and other forums. IMHO, everyone has valid points for those two items.
Because of our age (over 65), we were given the excellent advice to purchase your third coach first. We don't have the resources to recover from a poor decision so we researched (RV forums, dealerships, RV EXPO's, talked with friends and strangers about their RV experiences) for two years before pulling the trigger on our coach.
Take your time and enjoy the process...and welcome again to the forum and the RV lifestyle.
