I have just found and joined the forum. I retired a few months ago, my wife and i would like to buy an affordable MH to take some 300-400 mile trips. I have found 2 older DP's in good condition at about the same price. One is a 2000 Holiday Rambler Ambassador another is a 2002 Winnebago Journey.
The Rambler looks better and has half the miles.
I would love to hear what seasoned rv'ers think.

Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Personally, I would prefer the Holiday Rambler!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

There are many clean used DP for sale. Just be sure to look them over closely for pay for an inspection. Buying a coach from a high end builder is a good idea. Some of which would include Newmar, Country Coach, Monaco, Travel Supreme, Holiday Rambler, to name a few. Good luck shopping.

I agree with Joe. Holiday Rambler would be my choice. Good luck.

We bought our first DP this year and narrowed our choice down to a Holiday Rambler or National RV, so I'd lean towards HR. There are lots of varibles to consider, but mileage isn't a significant factor for DPs. Quality build, chassis, and floor plan were the most important factors for us.

If you're interested CLICK HERE to see our thoughts on the floor plan.

Good Luck on finding your new MH.
