Hello everyone;

I just found this site searching for campground.

My husband and I purchased a New 2006 K-Z Jag 23 foot 5th wheel last July. We are from Vermont.

We have taken it on 2 local trips and one mid size trip last year--we went to Lake George with all of our childern when my son was home on leave from the Airforce. This year we are planning on a 2 week trip to Gettysburg-for a week, with a couple of side trips to Washington DC and then moving on to Williamsburg, VA for a week. My broter and sister-in-law will be traveling with us.

I was going to stay closer to Washington, but I can not justify the cost and my husband doen't want to keep moving the RV. He will most likely be happier in Gettysburg anyway, he really doesn't like cities and I love them.

Any tips or tricks are most welcome.

Congratulations on your new purchase, Papotvin-TV. I have not tips or tricks yet in terms of RV'ing. The only advice I can give you at the moment is "That it is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission." Enjoy your travels and keep us posted as to your adventures. Blake

Papotvin-VT, welcome to our world.

While in Gettysburg try and visit the Eisenhower home. It is a very worthwhile side trip.

While down in Williamsburg you might want to consider short trips to Jamestown and Yorktown. Carters Grove is just a few minutes from Williamsburg. Take the old road (paved trail) back to town. The old James River plantation homes are wonderful pieces of history to view and enjoy.

You and your have a great time.
