Hello everyone! Wow - this seems like a blast from the past!
I'm new to RV ownership and have never even been camping. I decided to jump in to a class A rig - 1997 Georgie Boy Cruise Air on a Chevy P30 chassis and a 434. 40,000 miles on the rig and I got a great deal from a retired couple that just wanted it off their lawn.
At least, that's the story they told me!
I got less than 10 miles from their house and the passenger front caliper locked up on me! Fishtailing a 35 footer wasn't on my plans! So, I limped to a truck and trailer repair shop and spoke with the owner. He was very convincing that they would help me out...5 weeks later it was finally ready for pickup!
This P30 has a bunch of parts that are no longer manufactured - and I started to see the real reason I got a great deal. :-/
So, I finally got it home - 104 miles from the people I bought it from. I've been inside doing some updating and discovering more issues - such as an apparent ongoing leak over the shower/skylight. I just finished for the night...tearing off the roof over the bathroom! Yesterday I was removing the interior walls and opening up the bathroom.
It's ok though. I'm still excited for this project and plan to go full time. Knowing every inch of the rig is my goal!
I have millions of questions and am already full of answers on construction, renovation, rewiring and so on - and happy to help anyone whenever I can!
My first question: who actually manufactured my rig and where can I find the specs!?!?!
I look forward to having the opportunity to chat with you all!

P-30 is a Chevrolet chassis. I use rock auto for parts and there is numerous varieties of chassis’s. You will need to know what you are looking at and some luck as I have found out.
Brazil’s also has parts as many of the supporters of IRV2 do.
Good luck
Terry
