Hi

I just found this site and joined, we are first time rvers, bought 25` travel trailer and leave on our first trip on Jan 16th, 2008. We are travelling from Victoria, BC to Quartzsite, Arizona. We have another couple travelling with us, with their trailer, and we are hoping to hit mostly boondocking places to stay, so anyone with any suggestions , please pass them on to me. Casinos are of interest to us as well as other places. We think our first night of sleeping will be between Salem, Oregon and Canyonville, depending on how tired we get. Thanks for letting me join and hope to get into conversations with some of you

thanks for the welcome, we will be travelling from victoria, BC, to Bellingham,Washington and then thinking we need to stay on I-5 to avoid snow,( leaving Jan 16th, and really hoping for no snow, as first trip, so first night depending on how tired we are , thought between Salem, Oregon or thought we might make it as far as Canyonville if good weather. so any places around there for starters, lol and I will be trying to set up some kind of possibles for the second night staying on I-5 , thanks for any suggestions. again boondocking is our first thoughts but wonderful campgrounds with affordable prices also welcome.

Elmosmommy...
Congrats on your new rig! How exciting to have Quartzite as one of your first major trip!
You have come across the best RVforum oout there..and you will be more than pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful everyone is here
You will also find another forum area here that is dedicated to TT & ToyHaiulers.Watch this area for specific information regarding your type of RV.

As far as places to stay going down Hwy-5...
there is a Walmart at the end of the Beltline Hwy in Eugene that I have been told is RV friendly. There is also 7 Feathers casino in Canyonville...but I do NOT know the charges to stay there.

There is also an RV park at the south end of Eugene Exit 188-A. I am not sure of their pricing... but I would call this weekend and tell them MonacoMama said you should stay there and you were wondering the cost per night
is....He said he might give discounts...so call!
Other than that...I am not sure what else I can tell you besides..
"ENJOY the BOARD and POST OFTEN!!"

Hello and welcome to iRV2, and congratulations on becoming a brand new RVer.

One idea I might suggest for overnight stays is the Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. They usually have RV parking. They are almost always located close to interstate exits. They provide locator maps which show where each restaurant is located (and the food is consistently good).
