My wife and I just bought a used 2006 Monaco Camelot. Plan to retire in 6 months or so and go full time. The coach is the 40PET model and had everything on it that we had on our wish list. We live in Eastern NC so I had to get it winterized. It will likely be spring before we start enjoying full use of it. We'll tow an 09 HHR. We envision staying put in various locales and maybe doing some workcamping. We've owned everything from pop ups on up in 40 years but this is the first DP. Now comes the hard part - cleaning out the house and selling it.

We're in the same boat. A bit longer to retirement, but are looking to get the house ready for market next spring. Hopefully we have better luck than our immediate neighbor, who's house has been on the market for 2.5 years. Last spring bought an RV property not too far from you, in South Carolina.

Good luck with your plans.

Hossandjo..First of all- Congrats on your new rig and good luck getting your home sold! Second...Welcome to iRV2! You have come across the friendliest RV forum around. The members here are always willing to share their knowledge ...and it sounds like you may be able to help the non DP members while you learn from the DP owners!

You should come down to the Monaco Forum where you will find some great tips and lots of info from others who own similar coaches as you, too.

Again, welcome to iRV2..we hope you visit & post often!
