I found this site doing research about buying our first RV. So much information here I had to join. My wife grew up camping in a Pop-up, myself in a tent or cabin. We've borrowed a friends expandable travel trailer for a few years and are looking to get our own trailer now.

Hello to all!

Joe, welcome and don't be afraid to jump in. Probably won't be long until your in a MH and talking about full timing. Well maybe in a few years. I couldn't survive long in a tent and went from pop ups to a MH after being in every thing in between. Good luck.

Thanks for the welcome John. Being born and raised in Florida we both agreed that Tents are not in our future due to the lack of AC

Our hearts want a MH but our wallet screams for a TT. We have a 3yr old and another on the way, so expenses need to be contained. I'll be posting questions about TT's so we can learn from the Pro's the do and don'ts of them. Thanks.

Joe, You should feel fortunate to be able to get a TT at your age with kids. The vast majority of people I have seen in MH's are in the 60's or older. Enjoy camping with the kids as long as possible. Going to Myrtle beach in July and one of our sons is meeting us there with a TT. Your kids may get into camping some day and remember the good times they had as kids going camping. Good luck, John H...

John, you hit the nail on the head. It's all about the family and memories you make together. We are fortunate for sure and if this works out we'll have a lot years to camp together and make those memories. Then when we retire we can get a MH and make a run for it so they can't catch us

We just sunk our kid's inheritance in our coach.
