Greetings to all. We are in the final process of purchasing our first motor home. We will be taking delivery of a 2000 Dutch Star 35 foot MH this weekend. While this is our first MH we have had pull and 5th wheel trailers for over 25 years and love to camp. We found that as our bodies got older sleeping on the ground was not for us. I have heard many good things about the Newmar brand and expect to get many more years of service from this Dutch Star. I will be looking for tips on maintaining this coach and great places to say in Northern California and Oregon. I am still working so will not get to do a lot of traveling yet but know that that day is going to be here soon.

My other hobby is Ham Radio and it seems to go hand in hand with RV'ing.

Welcome K6PIJ,
We liked the Cannon Beach/Seaside area of Oregon when we were out there a couple of years ago. It was quite beautiful. We weren't able to stay nearly long enough. We wanted to stay at the RV Resort at Cannon Beach but they were booked for the time we were going to be there. We stayed instead at Circle Creek RV Park & Campground which was an OK place to park but nothing to get excited about. We also overnighted at Hi-Way Haven RV Park in Sutherlin, OR. Very nice park and a great place to explore the local wineries. I sure hope to get back out that way within the next couple of years.
Travel well, travel safe,
