Hi Forum!

I've been RVing for some time, but now own my 1st motorhome...a GBM Landau, 2005 Ford F53 Chassis with Ford V-10 Gasser. She has 33,000 miles, the last 5,000 which I put on. When I bought it in 2012, it had 27K. She had been parked and lived in for quite a while, somewhere in Texas, so I had plenty of both corrective and preventive maintenance items to accomplish. It has been a steady stream of cash outpouring since then, think like boat owners ...'a hole in the water where you get to pour your money'!
Yesterday I ordered a Safety-T-Plus Steering Stabilizer setup from Camping World. I've had the begeebees scared out of myself several times, when she tried to go play in the right ditch. I know, roadways are mostly crowned, and there will be a gravitational tendency to go right, but enough already! I will go see my alignment shop first, before installing the steering dampener, to see if anything is loose or shows excess play. With the low miles, I don't suspect excess wear in the numerous steering components, but will have it checked. I read that many RVers suffer with freeplay and wander and reckon that goes with the territory to some extent.
I will be attempting the dampener install myself and will post results and photos of as it happens.I look forward to being a member here, and welcome any comments.

You have come to the right place for everything motorhome. Whatever the issue, you can bet someone has been down that road before. Welcome
