Just purchased a 2003 Newmar Mountain Aire 40 ft DP as our first motorhome. Currently in Jupiter. Fl to learn how to operate all the systems. Could use any advice / instructions.

Welcome ..Great MH...Where are you set up in Jupiter or is that your home base. Spent 25 great early years in that neck o' the woods. Lived in a subdivision called Jupiter Village. Still visit a couple time of years, son and grands in Palm Bay. Good Luck with your new HOME and remember the #1 item you need to have and keep is your sense of humor D

Take an RV driving course! I too just purchased our first (2001 Safari Panther) Driving from Dallas where I purchased to Southern Calif where we live with a buddy. Refueling at a gas station (not a truck stop) and took the turn too tight coming out of the gas station and hit the 6 inch metal protector pipe. Did over $20,000 damage and now waiting three months to get it repaired.

They aren't hard to drive, but handling something 40 feet long has very different turning capabilities than a car.

The $400 rv driving course would have been a great investment for me First thing I do when the RV repairs get completed.

Good luck and enjoy!

Rick

Thanks all.. There is a Newmar factory service center in Jupiter, Land Yachts, Inc and we are stoing it there and working out the bugs. We did do the driving course ar Lazy Days in Tampa. Our first trip/adventure is this week going from Delray Beach, to Naples to Tampa and returning to Jupiter.
