Take an RV driving course! I too just purchased our first (2001 Safari Panther) Driving from Dallas where I purchased to Southern Calif where we live with a buddy. Refueling at a gas station (not a truck stop) and took the turn too tight coming out of the gas station and hit the 6 inch metal protector pipe. Did over $20,000 damage and now waiting three months to get it repaired.
They aren't hard to drive, but handling something 40 feet long has very different turning capabilities than a car.
The $400 rv driving course would have been a great investment for me First thing I do when the RV repairs get completed.
Good luck and enjoy!
Rick
