Hi all
Nice to gave a great site to pick up the knowledge i'll need to navigate the USA
We haven't retired yet but will spend a month or months regularly discovering your country over the next 3 or 4 yes
We purchased the most perfect 2001 monaco dynasty
We've completed our first adventure in Florida and now at home planning sept oct trip through Florida Georgia Tennessee Arkansas and to new storage area in Dallas.
First question: we have friends coming for a couple of weeks 5' 10" 180lb and 140 lb
Will they be comfortable on the pull out couch with a small rubber mattress on it or will they be better off getting a cabin at each stop
Thanks on advance
Steve skinner

Steve a lot will depend on the quality of the air mattress and if it will stay aired up all night.

My son is about the same size you quoted and he slept on the pull out couch in our coach with just the mattress it came with. He was comfortable.

Hope you enjoy the trip.

Jon

Steve:

You might want to consider getting a memory-foam topper for the sofa. Costco has some good ones. We don't use the sofa but one of our Labradors does. He can sleep on the floor, so the sofa is fine for him as it is!

We got one of the Costco toppers for our queen bed in the MH and just love it. We're getting a second one for the guest bed in the stick & brick house on our next Costco visit. You could put a cover on it and stash it in a storage bay during the daytime hours. Much more comfortable than a basic rubber mattress.

There's so much to see in this country. We've lived here since emigrating from the UK in 1968 and haven't seen a third of it. We've lived in NW Washington state all but the 3 years we spent in Tidewater Virginia.

Hope you can make it to this neck of the woods on one of your trips. My sister, who still lives in the UK, reckons Anacortes is where God goes on his vacations. I'll post some local pics on here soon, so folks can see what it's like.

To end this thread
Our friends have gone home having spent some great nights on the fold out bed
The foam topper worked perfectly

To anybody reading this
My irv2 forum headings have disappeared off my screen
They first went dark and are now gone except for the bottom 4
How do I get them back
I can't post on the forum issues page cause it's not available to me

Locate one of the moderators and they can help. Route 66 has helped me several times for the same issue

Hi Steve! Welcome to IRV2! Good luck on the upcoming retirement. JMHO, most pull-outs are not very comfortable. Adding a foam mattress pad would be great! Good luck & God bless!
