Just thought I would take a moment to say hello to everyone. Ran across this site when doing research on our first RV purchase. Loads of useful information here. On to the nitty gritty,
We just purchased our first RV for the family. It's a 92' National, Tropi-Cal 320. For being as old as it is, everything have been taken good care of and RV wise everything is in good working condition, just cosmetic stuff to work on, but nothing big. We did take it on a test drive which was overall good, only concerns was power steering seemed like the reservoir may have been low (feel and sound) and the AC was anything but cold. These are the main concerns, I am sure a simple recharge will get the AC working again and as for power steering, well either it's low or I'll be replacing a pump, either way not a big deal and it's something I can handle. My secondary concern was the breaks seemed, well like it took more work than I am use to in stopped. I am assuming that this is because of it's size and I am just not use to it. I never felt I couldn't stop, just felt it took more foot effort in getting it to slow. Overall I felt that for the price, we were getting a fair deal and I think this is a great RV to get my family started in the RV world.
If you guys / gals have any tips, tricks, gotchas, I welcome them. Other than that we cannot wait to get started!
