Yes, that is nearby Stuttgart Airport.
This is about 80KMs from my hometown and IŽll be there several times a year.
I am supprised, how many of you have been in Germany in the past.
I never have been in the US in my life; shame on me
But sometimes I want to travel to US.
Nashville Tennessee, Kentucky, and Hawaii are the destinations I want to go to.
But it is not really easy to travel with a dog by airplane.
And I donŽt want to do that to my beloved Indro

Rving in Germany
Hi Marlboroman, Did you buy your motor home in the US and have it shipped across the pond. My wife has family in Italy and was curious about that process, cost and also what do you do to convert the electric as I know it is different. How difficult would a 40 footer be to use there. Thanks for any insight.

No, I bought it in Germany from a dealer.
Yes, we have 220Volts in Europe, so electrical Gas to be changed.
Also Propane Equipment Gas to be changed to models that has proved by German Governments.
Headlights too.
We are only allowed to Drive RVs with maximal 12 meters that means my 38' is 11,72 meters and that is nearly Maximum.
39' is a litle too much.

Welcome! Traveled and lived in Germany while in the US military. What a great country to explore and close to so many other countries. We really enjoyed the Black Forrest, Trier, and so many other areas. Their were not many RV parks to choose from back in the day... has that changed or are you set up for dry camping?

thank you, I wonder if Italy would allow a 40 foot coach. I would probably have it parked at a campground for most of the time to live in as we all ready own it and my wife wants to spend more time there. Was your coach converted to the 220 volts and I wonder if it's something that can be done on mine without a huge sum of cash and headache.thanks again for any info. Ps. if you had to do it again , would you buy something smaller?

This 12 meters limit is only for Germany.
And no, I don't want a Smaller coach. If I could, I would buy an exactly 12meter, I think this should be an 38.7ft coach.
Also we have a Limit in width: 2,55 meter.
So no widebody is allowed.
2 more slides would be great
Tomorrow morning we will start to our second trip.
Then I will post some pictures from our destination Babenhausen near Frankfurt.
Also pictures from inside Mona.

Looks nice and comfy! I can't imagine driving those in Italy back in the day, our 68 GM station wagon had trouble with some side streets.
