This is nearly one of the largest RV that is allowed on German streets.

We love to own and drive it and live inside nearly for about 100 days a year.

I hope to find lots of Information here that I can't find in Germany.

Thx in advance for your help and understanding,

Olaf, Iris and Indro (the Labrador)

We had the pleasure of being stationed at Flugplatz Hahn from 1977 to 1983 and really enjoyed it. We spent a lot of money at the wineries on the Mosel River.

Olaf,

Willkommen, there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum.

I am somewhat familiar with Germany have been stationed there before, about 8 years.

Would love to hear some stories of RVin in Germany. Also would like to know how you got your RV, was it shipped from the US, what about support for it, parts and service etc..

Thank you all for your welcome words.

Last week we took our RV, ist name is Mona, out of its winter stable and Mona is waiting for our first trip this year.
I think next weekend we will start to our first.
Then I will try to let you participate on our trips in the small RV Country Germany.

Well, I bought this RV in Lueneburg from a RV and 5th wheeler dealer who owns it by himself.
It was too large for him and I was very happy to buy it because he did all those interior changes I should have to do.

He imported it from England/Great Brittain in 2012 and it was not in a good shape. But now it seems to be good, after we did some repairs.

In US, it came from Lazy Days in Florida, but I do not know when it has been shipped to GB.

It is not so easy to get all the parts in Germany, because there are only about 10 companies that have RV Parts to buy in Germany, so I try to import it by myself directly in US.
The shipping costs mostly very expensive.
To find somebody in US that ships parts to Germany is also not so easy, but it works.
Mostly I try to find parts at ebay.com
Saturday we drive to Babenhausen nearby Frankfurt where a US RV specialist has his garage (Hanks Garage) and there we maka a Tech Check.

After that trip we know what has to be replaced or repaired.

Have a great day

A small farm town. It was pristine when I lived there.

Is it still a tall order to get a vehicle inspected and registered? Stempel ruled the whole procedure, if you failed any portion of it you had to start the whole process over. Once you were done it was like a holiday!
