hello everyone, we just joined 9/28/2010.

Here is the scoop on Steve and I. We are new to this club but we have been RV owners for over 6 years. We live in the NW area of Houston Texas. We had a class C and just moved up to a Class A for more room.

We did not know clubs like this were out there until a couple months ago. We are very excited to meet everyone on our first rally. This is a big club though and it seems to be very active and the spaces fill up very quickly. We are trying to get waitlisted for the Nov on.

We work so many hours a week that we really look forward to any time away with no computers or phones.

We usually travel alone or with our granddaughter who is currently 4 going on 16.

We have no pets. Love Football and Nascar. Favorite teams are U of Nebraska Cornhuskers and Houston Texans. You will hear me cheering Jeff Gordon on.

I (Cheryl) am a travel agent and Preschool Director at my church.
So I am usually working 7 days a week most of the year.

We hope to meet many new people and we are looking forward to long term friendships.

Cheryl and Steve,

Welcome to iRV2! It sounds like you're trying to get signed up for the Texas Boomers rally at Cut-n-Shoot. Usually space isn't a problem, but A Country Place is a small park with a limited number of sites. I hope you can get in, but if not, we want to meet y'all at another Texas Boomers rally. We're (Sandy and I) in Cypress, and there are quite a number of Texas Boomers in this area.

Again, welcome to iRV2 - glad to have you on board.

Rusty

Hi Cheryl and Steve -

Welcome fellow NW Houston area Boomer! As hubby, RustyJC, said above, we live in Cypress.........probably close to you!

Glad ya'll got signed up on irv2 and finding out about the Texas Boomers and we can't wait to meet ya'll!

I just went in on the calendar and added your names on the wait list. One of the things we've known for years is that as big a town as Houston is there are not that many places that can/will host a growing group!

And we are experiencing a big spurt in growth in the SE Texas Area and that's all too apparent with the upcoming November campout! But don't be discouraged, there will be some cancellations (work schedule, illness, distance, etc etc) as the date gets closer so there's every chance that those on that wait list will be in a site by the time the campout gets here.

We're doing the best we can to find other places with reasonable site fees, use of the rally halls and shorter distance for those of us who live in this area to book events at in the coming year!

It's a problem, but I'm reminded that there are many rv clubs that would love to have this kind of problem!

Email me at sandycreekmore@texasboomers.net so we can see how close we live to each other! I have lots to share with you about the Boomers!

Sandy

Cheryl, we are just down the road from Sandy and a number of other Texas Boomers in this area. When not camping, we will often get a few of us together for a dinner on Sunday or Saturday. We are close to Cypress N-Houston and Eldridge.

Look forward to meeting y'all. even if we are full up, at Cut-N-Shoot, we'd still love to have y'all drive up for a visit for Saturday dinner.

Maybe y'all can make the October rally.
