Hello everyone,
I posted my first question the other day, and I was blown away by the number of very helpful responses I received. It seems there is a lot of activity here, and a lot of wonderful and generous people in this community, so I know we'll spend a lot of time here! :-)

My husband and I have always camped.....first in a tent, then a pop-up for about 15 years. Last year we decided we wanted camping to be a little easier, and we bought a 29' travel trailer. We love it! When we retire (can't be soon enough!) we'll be able to travel for longer periods of time, so at that time we plan to buy a 5th wheel.

There is a learning curve to this RV stuff, so we'll no doubt be asking you a bunch of questions. We're looking forward to the interactions!

Hi from South Dakota, and a BIG WELCOME to iRV2. Say,...did you guys get hit by that terrific storm that blew through your area?? Just wondering.

Thanks for your warm welcome, everyone! It sounds like a great community of people here.
Chickadee.....not sure which storm you're referring to. No recent storms. In fact all of the fireworks have been cancelled because this is the driest June on record. There was a horrible storm several months ago down in the southern part of the state.....didn't affect us directly, but we knew some people affected by it.

bsirby.....the rally sounds like so much fun. And we love Tennessee. How far in advance must a person register? I won't know until the very last minute if I can go.....depends on what is happening at work around that time.
