Hi all. I've owned a '92 Allegro 27' class A, Chev 454, for about 5 years. I put in a new fridge last, new super heavy duty rear springs, new bell crank/idlers, new shocks, new 6v (x4) house batteries, all 6 new tires, air ride Bostrom driver's seat, on board air compressor, stereos, dvd, misc.... I'm planning on retiring in about 3-4 years. Then I want to do a lot of travel. I own a hopped up '86 Vette and I like to autocross and road course drive it. I want to buy a truck conversion so I can pull my enclosed car hauler with ease. Now seems like a great time to buy since the economy is in the toilet and prices are tumbling. Of coarse now my present rig isn't worth what I've put into it in parts alone I suppose. I haven't limited my searching yet to any particular brands. I've seen some nice looking Kingsleys, Powerhouse Coach, Showhauler, etc.... I just ramped up my search a bit and ran across this web site. Looks like a great resource for the rv people. Might give me more ways to spend time surfing besides all the car sites I frequent. Just thought I'd make my first post here. Anybody from MN, or Corvette lovers, or truck conversion owners?

Cool, my family has a lake place over on Lake Sally, Kenny Beaton Beach. We go up there a few times during the summer. I'll try to remember to post when we head up there.

Welcome to iRV2 Bob. I have raced vettes since 1977 with the National Council of Corvette Clubs and have been to the twin cities many times since I work for a company based in Minnetonka. Wish you well in your search for the perfect truck and the coming retirement. I'm looking forward to that also, hopefully in about a year if I can remain employed that long.

Cool Tom, you don't have that blue C2 that always comes up to Brainerd International Raceway for the Suburban Corvettes weekend, do you?

Nope, not the one. Never made it to Brainerd.

My 66 is what I competed with most of the time, it was an autocross car until 1994, then I made it a straight line only car. I autocrossed a maroon 77 in 98 and 99, then basically quit except I run a race every couple of years just to keep my high speed license current.

Welcome - I love Corvette's but have never been fortunate enough to even ride in one, much less own one! Both are on the list, though!
