Hi,
Just joined the forum. Had a 1985 Windjammer 27 foot gas for about 6 years, but recently (last week) upgraded to a 2001 Harney Coach Works Riata Tierra 37 foot DP. It's a nice rig, but I'm currently having a leveling jack (one hose fitting loosened and now none of the jacks are moving) and a brake light issue (no brake lights). Hopefully, I'll get them figured out. Well, anyway hello to everyone.

You may just have air in the hydraulic system. Try to download an install manual for your particular hydraulic system and see if it has a procedure for bleeding the air out of the system. Most brake light problems that I have ran into was simply the plunger switch that activates the brake light circuit needing adjusted. My current motor home has a plunger switch on the actual brake pedal arm. As you depress the brake pedal the plunger is pushed away from an opposing bracket which allows the switch to close completing the circuit. Most the time the issue for me was the reverse where my lights would just stay on. You may want to check for a blown fuse or a disconnected wire on the brake light switch.

Welcome! I'm sure you/ll get the small details all sorted... it's part of the startup with an older motorhome, in my opinion, but worth saving all the money over new!
