Learning the rig is part of the fun. I took my rig for several weekend learning excursions to our local Walmart. Stayed in the parking lot....used their grocery facilities....wife and I had a read the manual and try out every feature festival. Drank some Walmart bought beers...bought some RV goodies in their little RV area near SportingGoods....got my RV feet wet and then took it on a few longer trips where I had to level it and dump the tanks. got the propane tank filled at a Pilot Fueling Center and got the RVers travel card (discounts on dumping tanks and buying fuel and propane)...Now I feel more comfortable in the rig and I know all the features.
I boondock frequently now between the RV campsites at various Walmart locations. They are RV friendly and usually have security out at nite in the parking lot. there are some other tricks like PASSPORT America...an RV travel club...and GoodSam's RV club...having membership in both is worthy. Having RV towing ....Allstate or GoodSam's seems like the two big players....
