I have signed on to hopefully learn a lot of info about Excel. Recently sold my last fiver, a 35' Cameo. We wish to downsize since we are no longer spending winters in the South and we would like to be able to tow a 16-18' aluminum boat. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Excel has a couple of interesting floorplans which we like, especially those with a side bath. do not want to go back to another walk-thru bath. i am especially concerned about such things as durability of slide, floors, insulation, etc. Looking forward to hearing from some of you.

Hey jimdl,

Welcome aboard! We've been FTing in our Excel for about 4.5 years and love it. Excel is a heavy and well built for FTing. Very well insulated to keep you more comfortable both hot and cold. Peterson stands behind there products and "stand up tall" up on some issues that they were aware of past the warrany period. Peterson is a smaller companty and family oriented. When you purchase an Excel you become a member of the family. Don't get me wrong they have concerns just like every other manufacturer, their not perfect, but they stand behind their product.

Hope to see you over on the Excel Owner Forum here on IRV2.com. Please let us know what you do and post often. rockintom

Jmdl,
Welcome aboard this great site, as you will gain a lot of good information. I wish I could help you with the Excel, but Rockintom has owned his for almost 5yrs, that should give you the best information you can find, especially from a long time owner. I'm a firm believer, check with someone who has owned one for some time, you'll get the right info. Jump in anytime, that's what this site is all about. Good Luck,
David G.
