Hi Everyone,
I'm Rob and my wife is Maryann, We started 3 years ago when we reached one of our goals. My son moved out on his own, then the wife cleared it with her office to work remotely for 3 months each winter (all we need is high speed internet access) so we purchased a new 05 Itasca Sunrise 36M. We spent Jan, Feb & March of 05 at Shady Acres in Ft Myers, FL. We immediately fell in love with this life style. We met some of the nicest people from all over the world, including a couple from Wales that were on a 7 year world tour in their RV. When they reached the end of one continent they would ship the RV to the next. Because of the folks we met, we decided to go back the following year to see those that had now become dear old friends in just 3 very short months. When it was about the time last year to make reservations for this year we heard from some friends we had met the previous year who were at this time at the Cocopah RV and Golf Resort in Yuma, AZ and were planning on returning there for this year. So, we looked at each other and remembered we had bought an RV for a reason and decided to go there for this past season. WOW, what a park, I'm not a golfer but there was plenty to keep you busy, especially the Cantina ($4 for a pitcher of beer, $1 for a glass of wine or beer (no mixed drinks)). While we were there my wife had her yearly performance evaluation and got the OK on our next goal (that I have been pushing for since we were married 20 years ago). Next year we will be selling our house and moving from the high taxes and cold weather of Vermont to ???????????. That's right, we don't know where we would like to move to yet, but I am tired of the cold and Maryann really enjoys working out of the office so we will probably end up being full timers for a while as we bounce around looking for that special someplace (if you feel YOUR town is a special place let us know). Not that I'M in any hurry but our mission know is to find our next home. We thought that we would check out central FL this coming season (I will start a new thread in the appropriate forum for recommendations on CG's).
Thanks for listening to me go on and on and on and on and .........
