We purchased our first MH seven weeks ago. Our plan is to sell everything an get out of New York. We haven't used it yet, cause we are still waiting for the dealer to replace all the storage compartment locks.
One question I have is what means are used to keep the refrigerator running while your on the road? propane or generater
Ill probably have a million more questions.

You have a million questions, we have a million answers! Regarding running the fridge on the road, propane is what most people use.

Welcome to irv2. Both can be used. I use propane when Gen is not in use.

Hi Bob! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the gang!

I don't use propane or generator when traveling down the road. I keep the inverter on during that time to power the fridge and some other small items such as cellphone chargers, MiFi charger, etc. I have a 2000 watt inverter which provides plenty of power for that. If I'm gonna be parked for several hours then I switch the fridge to propane unless I need the genset for air conditioners. Works for me!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome and glad to meet you!

Inverter here as well. Many experts agree that using the propane while traveling can be hazardous. I do not wish to take the chance, hence my propane is turned off prior to any travel.

We are also from western NY (Rochester area). We sold our house in June, all belongings we could not take just prior to that. Wife is retiring on Sept. 25th and we are heading south in Oct.

Thanks, for all the replies. I am still reading and checking this rig out. I am trying to find out an locate a inverter if mine has one. We had a auction a few weeks ago, but there is alot left. Much will be going to Good Will. The house is up for sale but we this economy who knows. Our plan is to head towards Texas, I enjoy drag racing and involved in it locally.
Again thanks to all Bob

Welcome to the Forum.

We are also fellow Western NYers. We are in Orchard Park. I've lived all over the US and I'll be staying here. Yeah, the politics are the worst, but it's still a great place to raise a family.

Enjoy your new rig and your house should sell quickly as we seem to have a very hot real estate market, at least here in the South Towns.
