My wife and I are (mostly) empty-nesters these days and as such, have decided to do some travelling, though we are several years from full retirement. After looking at a lot of travel trailers, we settled on a 2006 Pilgrim 32FKDS that we will actually be taking delivery of in a couple of weeks. I currently own a 2000 C3500 and the plan is to use it to tow the trailer on a few short trips to get our feet wet. We will see at that point if we need to upgrade the tow vehicle. We both camped a lot as kids growing up in various travel trailers, tents, and motor homes, but aside from my son and I sleeping on the floor of our motorcycle trailer at races over the years we haven't really camped much as adults. We settled on the 2006 Pilgrim because of the incredibly low price point, like new condition of the coach, and the very open, front kitchen/back king bedroom really appealed to us. With both slides out this thing has lots of room and by far the most storage of anything we looked at in our target price range. We are already finding all kinds of cool things to buy for the new toy and I'm sure there will be lots of questions once we get to dragging this thing up and down the road.
