I just purchased a 1996 Dutchmen Duck C Class. The roof was being repaired when the tarp sprung a leak & ruined the interior. I got a heck of a deal @ $1500. It has new tires with less than 50 miles on them. Rig has 30k miles & only 99 hours on the Genset. Any suggestions for redesigning the interior? Still need to finish the roof work. Seller gave me the wood & rubber kit to finish the job. I think it will be a great rig when I finish it.

Bowite,

Welcome to the Forum! You got yourself a project but these rigs are something else once they are done.

I would go to the "Vintage RV" thread to get some assistance with your questions. Looks like you can pretty much redo it any way you like. Several of the guys here buy another TT (travel trailer) that is shot outside but inside is still good and use it as a "donor". Basically you take the good things out of the donor and put in the other rig. Can include the cabinets, dinette's, water heater, ac, bathroom items, and beds. You can usually find one in your area that is in rough shape for cheap and someone just wants it out of their yard.

Carpet and or tile is a no brainer at Home Depot or whatever you have in your area. Take your time, pull everything out, paint a plan on the floor and redo if you don't like it before you buy a donor.

Good Luck with getting it done. Please start a thread so we can see your progress of before and after pictures. Several of the guys will come on and give suggestions to help you along the way.

Lynne

Hi! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! Man, you didn't buy it, you stole it! Keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

BTW, what part of MS are you in?
