Hey everyone,
New to RVing but jumped in with both feet. We stayed in a FEMA trailer and with friends a couple times at our Air Force Rec camp, and didn't step all over each other so we decided to buy our own.
Sold my gas efficient Camry for a thirsty but powerful 2003 Ford Excursion to pull a used 2010 Keystone Springdale bunkhouse with 2 slides. Took it out a couple weekends ago--and we know we made the right decision.
Looking forward to trips in the Texas hill country and many to the beach for our young kids (10, 5, and 1). Also looking forward to learning lots from this community.
Cheers,
Ken

Glad to have you here on iRV2. Check out the Texas Boomer and see where they are having a rally in your area.

If you find yourselves 3 hrs up 281, you can park here (Granbury)!

Welcome aboard. 'Wish we'd done the same thing, in SAC, at Loring/Carswell at your age.

Welcome Ken...spent a few years a Kelly, way back when...doesn't everyone have to go thru Texas before they retire? I retired in '74, they didn't think I'd live this long, but I'm still enjoying life. I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information in here, I certainly have!
