New Member in the UK

Hi, my screen name is Grenville, im in the UK, the Forest Of Dean to be more precise.
For the last twenty + years, my partner & I have lived full time on board a canal Narrowboat from which we ran a small business supplying diesel fuel to other boats.
Last year, 2009, we sold the boat, and feeling as that we could not adapt to a life living within bricks and mortar, we began looking for an American Rv.
In June 2009, we tracked down a Safari Trek 25. She was beautiful and very well built. So after thought, we bought her. WE soon discovered that we needed more space.
In October 2009 we found ourselves a Thor Hurricane 32 R, with a Ford V10. We traded in and bought the Hurricane. .
The Hurricane is now our home.
Already, we find ourselves seeking information on this range of Rvs. Uk forums are very good indeed, and have been very grateful indeed to their contributers, but in many cases lack model specific info. This morning, I stumbled across iRV2.com and straight away discovered a mine of information on the Hurricane. So that said, I have now joined you.

Good morning and welcome. It is good to have you here. The narrow boats always fascinated me and I have read several books on them and researched that lifestyle when we retired the first time. My fear was my widebody verses the boats narrow body!

It seems that you have one of the larger MH for the UK. A lot of RVs are starting to be purchased and shipped across the pond. Enjoy your new one and hope to hear stories of the RV lifestyle "British Style"!

Many thanks to Jim, TW & Petro for the warm welcome to the forum. .
Jim, do I guess you refer to your own personal wide body ? I'm no light weight Jim. 20 stone in fact. It wasn't my weight and bulk that convinced me to leave the boat, but more a case of Arthritis. Living on water I think caused that. Now I am paying the price.
Oh well, life goes on...
Thanks all of you for the welcome.
John
