We've been planning to purchase an RV for many years, having rented a Class C in 2007 for an enjoyable one-month tour around the western US.

We just bought a Palazzo 36.1 and hope that we'll learn a lot on the forum about keeping this thing going and finding good places to go.

Also live in Bay Area...SF actually. Keep our 2015 Fleetwood Excursion at Harbor Bay, Alameda. Been rving around northern CA and NW/SW for 4 years. This forum has great information on many many RV topics. Really like the individual owners forum where you can discuss problems or seek help on your particular unit. Welcome to the site...Ron

Welcome to the forum. We are natives and lived in Yuba City until just a few years ago. Traveling the back woods of Calif is amazing. There is so much to see. We miss it but full time rving has been fun.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

We just returned from a 2-day excursion to the Sierra foothills. It was fun.

The coach is a pleasure to drive. Our one complaint is that the AC did not keep up with the heat. I'll start with a search of the forum.

Welcome aboard!

When you say the air conditioning didn't keep up with the heat...did you mean the RV air conditioners or the dash air conditioner?

106 here in the Fresno/ Clovis area today.

Dash AC worked fine. The ceiling ACs, not so much.

The front roof AC was operational, but didn't cool much. The compressor on the rear unit would shut down after a minute and sometimes come back on after 5 minutes, but would usually stay off. We'd try to cool only the front of the coach, but when outside temps were around 100, inside temps were around 90. Seems like it should do better than that.

Next time we'll take some temps of air blowing out. We'll have the dealer look at the units whenever we bring it in.

Thanks, Lee

The condenser fins up on the roof may need to be cleaned. You should be able to cool a lot more than that.

Has the return filter been cleaned on the air conditioners? It is usually foam and can be washed.

What year is your Palozza and what engine?

It's a 2018 we bought new, with a Cummins B6.7. The foam filters are clean. We'll have a look at those fins. Thanks for the advice.

If you were on 30 amp versus 50 amp your RV may have load shedding and turned the rear AC off.
