New Member needs your help

Hello from the UK

We are Dave and Sue, married with 2 grown up children, 4 granddaughters and our latest addition who is three weeks old 1 grandson.

We bought our 2000 Newmar Dutchstar 3865 whilst on holiday in Sarasora Florida in November 2007, She arrived in the UK on 19th February 2008, and we love her.

We have had quite a few "small trips" and a two month holiday in Spain in her and are hoping to go to Morocco thisNovember for 3 months.

Whilst driving back from a trip away at the weekend a RED warning light came on, on the dash. It looked like a fuel pump (on a garage forecoart) it had a ! in the middle of it. We stopped and checked things out, set of again, the light came back on, then off and on for a few miles, then stayed off, does anyone know what it is a warning for?

Thanks Dave & Sue

Welcome. We have a 99 Dutchstar and love it. Nice to hear from someone across the pond. What a wonderful adventure you must have in all of those countries. Sorry I can't help with the warning light on your dash. Someone here on the forum I'm sure will be helpful. They helped us immensely. The only warning light we've had on was the ABS brake light. When we had the front ball joints replaced, the mechanic found a broken wire. Good luck.

I would suspect it is the water in fuel indicator. Go out and open the petcock on the fuel filter and drain it into a container. You will probably see some water floating on the diesel.
