New Member- New RVer...

Hi there! I am hoping that this is the right place for us to have come to. My husband and I have never RV'd before but are seriously considering doing so- actually living in full time and travelling- after our son graduates next spring.
Being a details person I am wanting to learn all I can about motorhomes, how to live in one without killing my spouse, and find out some of the secrets to making it affordable on a very limited income. We do not yet own an RV, so tips and pointers about the best manufacturers and models to suit our dreams/goals would be of great help.
We will be travelling with pets (2 Pomeranians and a cat) so suggestions or ideas with that challenge will also be great assistance so I don't kill them or leave them behind somewhere.
We are wanting to go as earth/eco friendly as we can, using solar and reusing grey water, etc. Ideas and input for conversions with that, as well as resources that will make that possible would be good
And of course, where are the best places to get great campsite deals but still be close enough to all the main attractions (we hike and bike, but also like museums and theme parks). We will have the grandkids with us a couple weeks during summers, so deals and such for that will help as well.
Basically, I need information on everything RV!!
Thanks everyone!

Welcome aboard

You have a lot to learn and absorb. There is a forum here just about full timing, so check that out. Here is a link to a current thread regarding full timing and budgeting to get you started.

Hi Trish! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad to have you guys join the bunch!

You'll find tons of information on fulltiming, workamping, etc. over in the other areas of the forum. Look at the green bar at the top and put your mouse over "RV Forums", then look under "RV systems and Technology", then click on "Going Green". There should be some info there that will help you! I would suggest that you post questions over in the specific area of the forum for best results. Not many folks hang out here in the Welcome area so your responses will be limited. Hope you enjoy the forum!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
