Hi guys. In January my wife said, "When was the last time you took vacation with us?" I couldn't remember. She said, "1994.""You're GOING on vacation with us this year."
Over the years we'd talked of an RV. Every time I was thinking "diesel pusher" and my wife was thinking Ford E-450, so we bought an '08 Jamboree. Nice. Seemed roomy. We had to travel from Houston, TX to Atlanta, GA urgently due to a death in the family. My daughter & 12 month old granddaughter riding in the coach. My daughter got so car sick she would trade front seats with my wife, who would become car sick riding in the coach. I fought the steering so much that my hands and forearms were cramping. Had to stop to even drink a coke safely.
So, on return, we went to the Houston RV Show and the next week traded for an '08 Monaco Diplomat SFT.
It's March and windy, but we've travelled around Houston completely on Beltway 8 and I-610, wind and passing 18 wheelers, we had a terrific time, nobody got sick, and it handled like a dream. I drove one handed and felt very secure.
So I'm glad to be a new RVer.

Welcome aboard !! I can relate to motion sickness. That is one reason we changed from a 5th wheel to a motorhome. I can go lay in bed if I am not feeling well and one of my daughters will ride shotgun and keep Daddy company.
