New Member - New Winnebago Owner
We are going to take delivery of a 2000 Winnebago Adventurer 35U next week. This is our first RV after spending the last 25 years in boating, from sailboats to trawlers to large motor yachts. Looks like the systems are similar.
I started looking on this forum for information about the RV we're purchasing and this website has been a tremendous help in our inspection of the Adventurer.
I haven't done any research yet on what others have done about naming their RV, me coming from the sea to land. Just wondering if it's typical or not if Rv'rs give their motor home a name. I'm considering several variations around:
Knot At Sea or Knot-a-Sea or something like that since our last three ocean going vessels have had something to do with Knots.
Knot So Fast
Knot II Fast
III Knots Faster
and now maybe
Knot At Sea.

Brent and Debbie,
Congratulations on your new to you Winnebago! I think the Winnebago's are great rigs.
The forum is an incredible resource for anyone thinking about this lifestyle. There is also a Winnebago owner's forum under Owner's forum at the top of this page. Enjoy yourselves and your new rig.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU! You are in for a great Ride, boaters adapt easily to the lifestyle, it is actually more carefree than a boat.

Just remember, you are going to have 30-60 knots apparent on the nose on every leg!
Good news is, you don't have to worry about dragging anchor, but need to get the awing on deck when the wind kicks up in harbor.
A couple of ex sailors here having fun in our new land yacht.
