New Member Newby to RV

Good day All

I had a good read before joining, some good read on this forum

Here is my story:
My first shopping spree for an RV i have done extensive research and I think I know what we want.

We, my wife and I are in the process to move to Canada BC, Fraser Valley or Vancouver Island, not finalized as yet.

We retired early, kids are out of house, now it is our time now with no rush no deadlines nor have to;
explorer Canada and the US.

That is the plan

We have Ram 3500 dually HD Cummins 7.6 with the 5th wheel prep.

From my research on RV's i think in know what we want yet we are open to learn and be convinced with the guidance of the many part time and full time RVers.

We planning to spend a couple of months per year traveling with the RV and rack up a few thousand Km. We have no urge to test how to survive sub zero degree C

The direction we heading re RV: DRV 5th wheel Mobile Suites Aire MSA 38
Drivers for this choice: Build, 3 inch walls and floor, double windows, opposed slide outs, frame, brakes, morryde suspension, furnishings, etc
Our "Hercules" Ram 3500 GVWR and payload capabilities is ample to tow the MSA 38. We want to stay below the 40 feet length since a. its just us 2 and it has been said that there are restrictions/ challenges at some state parks if you over 40 feet?

What you think

Welcome to the forum. You are joining a good group of folks where with good info to share.
It sounds like you have a plan in place. Do make sure the floor plan works for you and that you have enough living space with out roll outs.
Good luck and enjoy the adventure.

I understand that the problem with length is more likely in Canada. I've been to very, very few CGs in the US where I had a problem getting in. Some of the Nat'l parks may be a problem but I've always been able to find a place to stay.

Happy Trails!

Welcome to IRV2! Check out RV.org. They rate RVs and have information on the selection and the dealing process

Happy retirement and safe travels. Sorry cannot help in your selection, I prefer a MH. I am happy with my Four Winds 23U. Floor plan and load capacity as well as size of your selection is to be considered. Good luck in your new endouvers
