Hi! We have a 30ft Wildcat 5th wheel, pulled by a 2500 Duramax. We left Florida on 3/4 and are on our way to Alaska. We are having a fantastic time and have seen some beautiful places. Plan is to cross the Canadian border around 6/3 and leave Alaska around 7/31. Then down the California coast and stay south for awhile. Should be back in Florida around January 2012. We are taking our time)
was a poster on another site but decided there wasn't alot of positive things be said.

Tom

We did our Alaska trip in a caravan with Winnebago so everything was planned and prepaid which was wonderful. My advice is to do the tourist stuff although it may sound pricey at the time. The boat trip in Valdez is a don't miss.

Be careful crossing the border and don't try to hide anything such as fire arms and list your liquor as you can take a limited amount. Remove all stickers such as NRA or Guarded by Smith and Wesson. These are red flags for border guards. Be cheerful in your demeanor. You may need to prove you have the means to leave if you break down, credit card or towing.

Sure wish I could tag along, a wonderful state to visit. Too bad you are leaving before you see the "Northern Lights".

Don

Welcome to iRV2. I started reading your Blog, very cool. We hope to take 4 weeks next year & see CO,UT, & NV. We have traveled in parts of these for just a few days each. Someday retirement time will come & we can do a trip similiar to what you are doing. Have fun, keep posting, & be safe.
