Smile New Member ready to learn!

Hello,

My husband and 5 children have been lucky enough to enjoyed RV life for a majority of our marriage. We started out in 2003 with a 28 foot travel trailer then decided after one summer in that it was way to small for our family.. We then bought our first 36 foot 5th wheel. 2 kids later, we needed a bigger 5th wheel for longer stays and bought a 43ft. 5th wheel (the brand escapes me right now). We kept that for a few years until we make the decision to buy a Class A gas Tiffin Allegro Open Road. It was the best decision ever! The kids no longer had to ride in the truck. We enjoyed the Tiffin for 4 years before selling it due to no time of use. Life got really busy with 5! We are both hands on DIYers and enjoy remodeling homes and thought it would be fun to restore a 1981 Lazy Daze Class C! Our goal was to use it on weekends in Santa Barbara to visit our daughter in college, however she decided to not stay there so we made the choice to sell it after totally restoring it and loving every minute of it! Another reason we sold it is because we are moving back to the midwest from the West Coast in June or July! So here we again looking for a unit we can live in for a few months this summer and we have always wanted a diesel pusher. After researching and budget analyzing, we are considering a 1981 MCI Bus that has been converted to a RV years ago and needs TLC. Hoping to find and learn information and inspiration from this forum!

Well, if you're determined to do it at least the "bones" are good to start with.
Too old for me to tackle something like that.
