New Member Saying Hello

My name is Bob, retired Air Force living in Granbury, Texas. We have a 2004 Monoca Diplomat purchased new 7 yrs ago.

I found your group while searching for anwers to a problem about my 12 volts house power system going out. The postings on on this subject were very helpful and I believe that I have found the solution to our problem.

I am waiting shipment of a new on/off switch that controls the solenoid from inside the coach at the doorway. It was referred to as the "Salesman's Switch" by the members of this group. I hope that replacing this switch will solve it. If not I will try and bypassing the solenoid by connecting the the cable on the + side to the cable on the - side as was described in one of the postings. Seems that has worked for some of the members in the group.

If anyone has other ideas or caution for me in this endeavor I would appreciate your knowledge and experiences. Although I have had success in reading the manual and other various publications over the last seven years, as a retired accountant I am very non technical in these sorts of things.
Thanks.
Bob

Welcome Bob from a fellow Texan. We live in Katy just west of Houston. This is a great bunch of people. Scroll down the forum topics to near the bottom and find the Regional Chapter section, then South Central region, then Texas Boomers. We are an active group of RV'ers that get together monthly for lots of fun.

My wife and I have just participated in the National Rally in Urbanna, VA. We had a great time meeting other iRV2 members and are looking forward to the 2012 rally in Marion, NC.

Hope to see you soon at Texas Boomer rally.
