New member saying hello

Hello, I am a new member and hope to begin gathering information on a travel trailer and truck combination that my wife and I will use when we retire. I am glad that I have found this site and look forward to gaining advice and possibly friendships. At this stage, our idea is to buy a used Airstream trailer probably 30' and a Ford 350 diesel pickup to travel the country to find a Northern area to purchase a home to live in during the summer as we are now living in Florida. We hope to use the trailer to live in while we scope out cities to see if we really want to live there before we buy a home. We will then use the trailer and truck to go on camping trips for possibly up to 2 months. We love to ski, so I would like to hear from people who have used their RV's in winter conditions. Perhaps there is another kind of trailer that I should look for besides an Airstream. I owned a Coachman long ago and that trailer did not hold up well but I did use it in the snow a few times.

Any advice is welcome.

Chuck

Hi Chuck, welcome to the forum. Best of luck with your future plans. Don't hear of many moving from Florida north. For the most part it's the other way around.
