just wanted to say hello and how thrilled I am to be looking around in this forum. just sold my house and got a new 2006 Itasca Cambria 29H last week and am trying to figure out this moving from a 3 bedroom house into this wonderful rv. Had a Gulfstream BT Cruiser 22ft for 2 years and loved every minute of it. On my way to AZ and then meandering up towards Seattle. Would welcome any suggestions and hints (besides throwing it away - which I have done) as to the cramming it all in problem and places to see along the way!
thanks!

Hi there "homeless-d" and congratulations on your new home purchase. My wife and I recently went through the same things you are doing...sorting, throwing, sorting, and throwing again. We still have a huge yard sale planned to liquidate our remaining "stuff". We will keep our storage unit to hold on to heirlooms and things we just can't part with, but for the most part we have been surprised how easy it is to let go of all the stuff. It's kind of liberating. Sometimes you will be sad when you think about all the things you are getting rid of but in the end, if you are like my wife and I, you will feel free in a sense.

One practical note of caution, make sure that when you decide what you are going to keep in your Cambria to go to a truck stop or other public weigh scale and make sure you have not overloaded your rig. I read on some blog that most RVs you see on the road are overloaded which can lead to dangerous stopping situations and tire failure.

Try to enjoy your "purge" and it'll pay off.

homeless-d, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. Congratulations on the new Cambria. I am sure you will like both it and the forum. I can't reiterate the weight factor enough. It is very important to not be overweight. You will find we are a group of fun loving RVers that like to help each other where we can. If you have any questions just ask. Good luck and take care.

I am envious of your new found liberation and look forward to the day that SacsTC and I will be in that same situation!
