I have been reading so many posts on this website recently, I decided to go ahead and sign-up as a member. Seems to be a lot of nice people and good information here! I just wanted to say "Hello" to all of you.

I have my personal information, photos of me and the wife, and of course photos of our new 2004 coach linked up here or to our signature below. The wife and I have between 10 to 17 months before we are fully retired and start the full-timer lifestyle.

I look forward to living & learning while meeting & greeting fellow members. I love the photos on this website and I can see I will be amongst RVing friends here.

Steve & Lynette; Thank you very much! I hope to meet you guys as well. Boards like this are a great tool. I always find people that have been down the same roads before me, and it is much better to pick their brain so I don't make the same mistakes they may have made. I also get great ideas on places to visit and things to do. I wish your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Noticed that you joined the Texas Boomers club - a great big welcome from us! Be sure to check out the rallies and campouts of the Boomers (South Central Section under Rally Groups on the main menu) and hope to meet ya'll in person at any of them!

Fully retired from 3rd career. Just turned 61 and have many things planned. We are currently taking a short break from full time status. We are the caretakers for the 6 yr old grandaughter while her mother does a tour in Iraq. Our plans are to be back on the road in July 2010. This gives me an opportunity to do all the mods on the rig. I am in Las Cruces, NM, if you are this way give me a shout. Not a member of SMART yet, I will check it out. I bid you a great Thanksgiving Day.

RustyJC; Since we will be a Texan once retired and both of us are baby boomers, I thought it appropriate to get to know others through the club. I joined the Escapees club as a life member and plan on making TX my domicile state using their mail fowarding services. Thanks for the welcome and wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving Day!

desertrv; I wish your daughter or D-in-L a safe deployment in Iraq. Enjoy the grandaughter while you got her. Good luck on all of those RV upgrades, I just bought mine in Apr '09 and already have some add-ons in the works before we start full-timing - 600 to 800 watt solar system, hydra-lift system, datastorm, basement tv, basement freezer/fridge, and others.
