Home for us right now is in Cheyenne, WY. We have always enjoyed camping, starting in the 60's in a tent, then a 14 ft. Trailer, then on to a pickup camper for 30 years. In 1992 we made the move to a 34 ft. Thor/Four Winds Hurricane P30 Workhorse chassis. With time marching on (faster every year) we decided (we= the wife) we should look for something we could take some extended trips in. Larger with more storage.
After considerable research on the Internet we found a 2008 Damon Essence with 4K miles in on it in Chicago. Loved the floor plan, king bed, lots of basement storage, 4 slide outs, etc, etc, etc. So in Sept. of 2010 we took our Hurricane on it's final trip (for us) to Chicago, made the trade, and headed back to Cheyenne. We have had a few minor problems, and I spent a LOT of time in it reading manuals. Seems like everything works on a remote, with 90% of the equipment never being set up. (TV's, home theater, etc.) The ice maker was still wrapped in plastic and had never been used! Anyhow, the bottom line is we really love it! Now we are debating about full time or at least snowbird type trips. Can't quite get to the point of being able to sell everything and full timing. Never know what Father Time has in store, health, price of diesel, etc. Hope to pick up some good tips and experience information on this site! Hope I haven't already bored everyone to death but that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Tom and Trudy

Welcome Tom and Trudy. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new Damon. It's kinda cold in Cheyenne right now. I happen to know that there is one spot left down here in Florida and you can have if you hurry.

Thanks for the reply! I have lived in either Colorado or Wyoming for all of my 68 years. I would be glad to share some favorite "Don't miss" places when you get ready.
