My wife and I began tent camping in the Midwest when we were first married (nearly 20 years ago)! Once our 3 kids came along, we continued camping although our tents got bigger and our supply list longer. One dreadful rain storm when our tent flooded we loaded up the car in the middle of the night and decided that would be our last tent trip. The next year, we purchased a new pop-up trailer. This was heaven compared to the tent. Several years and many miles later as the kids and dog were growing our little pop-up was no longer feeling like the luxury it once was.

We took a year off from camping and found we all really missed it. The last minute get-aways with the dogs, hiking in newly discovered state parks, and exploring unfamiliar areas of the country. So after months of searching we purchased a new to us 2007 Winnebago Vista 33t. We've had it all of 2-weeks and only used it for one short weekend trip (still waiting for soccer season to end) but look forward to all the traveling we now have planned.

To that end, I'm so glad we found iRV2. I've already had many questions answered and added several modification ideas to my list. Thanks to all who have helped me already and those who will in the future!

Welcome, Carl, from a fellow Alabama camper. I think Ala has some of the best camp grounds. If you haven't experienced the Corp of Engineers campgrounds, you have missed some beautiful places. I'm near Prattville and there at least 5 corps campgrounds within a few hours of me.
Keep us posted of your travels.

Dan

Come on down to Niceville, Destin, Fort Walton Area. The beach camping is great.(even when it gets cold, There are numerous bike paths and plenty of on foot activities to do around here. I just got into the travel trailer habit and last weekend we went over to Foley, alabama. Had a BLAST!! Have a Happy Thanks Giving and a VERY merry CHRISTMAS.Jimm Zi/
