New Member - Taking the plunge

I'm a new member and seriously considering taking the plunge for a 2011 Newmar Baystar 2901. My current 'coachette' is a 2006 Sportsmobile Sprinter. I've also owned a 31' Itasca Spirit.

Since I live 4 hours from my (potential) sales dealer, I'm wondering what type of annoyances I might expect with a new coach. And, if anyone out there has a Baystar (especially the 2901), I'm really interested in your experiences.

Thanks all!

Hmmm, lets see. What "annoyances" might you expect?

Unfortunately, the 'accepted standard' in the RV industry is to expect problems. Wish I could tell you what they'll be, but they're as individual to each RV as finger prints. Some get lucky and will find a few loose screws, others will have a wall separate from the roof. While most won't be as severe as the latter, I'll bet my pension that you will have something go wrong. The best advice is to document everything with your dealer as soon as it becomes apparent to you, and remember, this is fun!

In all seriousness. Best of luck with the new rig. May yours be one of those with only a few screws loose, somewhat like many of the regulars on this forum.

Taking the Plunge

Congrads, no one can tell you what might go good or bad with the MH. They are all different even though they are all the same. Checked out the coach on line and it is a beauty. If you do it you should love it.
