New Member we are Class A Motor Home Owner

In 3-4 years we will be purchasing our dream RV so we can be snow birds for 4-5 month a year. We own a 2001 Coachman Mirada Class A RV which we purchased 3 years ago. The last set of tires were intalled in June of 2007. They are not showing any cracking in the side walls but I think I am pushing the limit for the tires. The tires are Goodyear G620 22570R19.5 tires. I was given a price quote yesterday for $ 430 for each of the 6 tires. I was also given a quote for a Chinese made tire Wanli Hwy 12 ply for only $ 185 / tire. Does anyone have any experiece with Wanli Tires. I would tend to want to by Goodyear tires but for more than 2x less and since we will sell the RV in 3 -4 years I am considering the cheaper tire. Any suggestions? Thanks

Dave

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you're in for some exciting times.

It is probably a good idea to be looking at replacement of your tires. You can check the actual age of the tires via the DOT code on the sidewall.

Use our search feature to look for previous discussions on Chinese tires. Lots of opinions.

Best of luck and we're glad you found us.

Chineese Tires

I have not heard any bad reviews on Chineese tires, though I prefer to by American. Since you plan on selling the RV in a few years, the savings is tempting.
If you a member of FMCA, they have a Michelin Tire Program which saves $$.
