New member - wheelchair user - looking at Safari Trek

Hi folks,

I'm new to the forum and to RV'ing. Several family member have RV's but I'm not yet an owner. I'm a wheelchair user, will be driving while seated in my chair (as I've done for 40 years in full size vans), and am leaning towards Safari Treks for a variety of reasons. One big reason is the left side slide is some distance behind the driver seat and doesn't complicate my wheelchair access to the driver position. I'm wide open for advice, suggestions, anything you'd like to offer. I'm looking forward to the conversations.

In both the Motorhome Magazine and the FMCA Magazine there are several advertisers who specialize in "modernizing" RVs, service include make the coach accessible. It would be prudent to talk with the people who will convert the coach prior to choosing the coach. Just my way of thinking.
