New member with a problem

Hi all! Sandi and I have sold our home and are living in our 2002 Sportscoach Legend with our two old dogs, Katie and Max.

Recently the slide on the screen door split. I got a replacement but can't figure out how to get it in the track. I removed screws and the door latch but the top and bottom rails of the slide don't budge. I'm looking for some expertise before I get in the "fix-it" mode and end up with a disassembled screen door and a coach full of bugs.

Don't have your coach but if it like any other typical slider you should be able to slip one end in the top and lift then snap bottom side in. That's what I did with mine when the kids knocked it out

I tried that but couldn't get the "stiff" end of the slide to bend enough to get it over the bottom bar. Did yours go easily or did it require a lot of muscle?

I used a little spritz of the wires Pam spray on both ends of the slide and the door track, door open with DW holding it, I think she may have put the slightest twist on the door but it didn't seem to affect it. It wasn't easy but didn't require tons of force- to worried about breaking the whole thing

Yours may be different than what mine was like on our previous Class A but mine came out of the track accidentally one time. It was a matter of placing the top (or bottom) in the slot and bending it so the other end popped in place. I know....sounds too simple. Maybe yours is different. Sorry.......best I can do.
